 Using the information from the readings in Module 3, write a 3- to 4-page position paper discussing the policies and practices that impact both urban education and low-income suburbs.  Address solutions that are being proposed that could have a positive impact on urban or low-income schools.  Do you support these solutions?  Why?  Use APA to cite sources, and include a reference list at the end of your paper. 

Module 3 Discussion:

 Imagine you are a leader in a large urban school district or a diverse institution of higher education. What are three specific policies that you would propose to ensure access to a quality education for all learners?  Be specific.  You must cite at least two sources from the readings, using APA format.  Your response should be no less than three paragraphs.  Respond to at least two other students, with no less than one paragraph each. 

Module 3 SLP:

Develop a timeline PowerPoint describing key events and historical figures that influenced policy and change regarding race and equality in public and urban education settings.

Include the following:

  • 1 Title Slide
  • 1 Overview Slide
  • A minimum of 5 slides detailing the key figures and reforms of Urban Education movement and efforts to improve education in diverse education settings
  • 1 Slide listing references in APA format

You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, or Key Note for your presentation.
